African Center for Excellence (ACE) is community-based organization that focuses economic empowerment and community resilience. Our mission is to create economic opportunities for African immigrant and refugee communities and underserved communities in Seattle and King County. African Careers offers direct employment, referrals and social services to African communities. We lead civic education, community engagement, outreach, and policy change.

Our Plan:
To accomplish our mission, we will partner with our stakeholders at every level of the organization, including employees, customers, and the community. We are dedicated to developing and empowering our staff by providing them with the necessary resources, training, and support they need to thrive in their roles.
Additionally, we are committed to improving our processes by leveraging the latest technologies and best practices in the industry. Our Approach:
We manage day-to day project operations to meet project deliverables, enrollments, job trainings, job placement,advocacyand policy change.
We strive removing barriers that have impacted our communities in obtaining and gaining full employment.
We also execute intake assessments, create individualized employment plans, and offer intensive case management that emphasis on barrier removal, job readiness, job placement, and financial stability.
We provide outreach and recruitment for services and referrals as required; attend community events, conduct info sessions and partner diverse service providers to achieve our mission.
Our Services
1. Workforce Development & Job Training: We offer tailored job training programs designed to equip refugees and immigrants with the skills necessary for success in today’s job market. From resume writing and interview preparation to technical skills training and on-demand career opportunities, our programs enhance employability and open doors to meaningful employment.
2. Economic Mobility: Economic stability is crucial for long-term success. We provide financial literacy workshops, career coaching, and access to resources that help individuals and families build wealth, manage debt, and secure their financial futures. Our goal is to create pathways to economic independence and resilience.
3. Housing Stabilization: Stable housing is the cornerstone of well-being. We work closely with families to offer housing assistance, from emergency shelter to long-term housing solutions. Our team connects clients with housing resources, rental assistance, and supportive services to ensure they have a safe and secure place to call home.
4. Youth Engagement: We believe in the potential of our youth. Our youth engagement programs are designed to inspire, educate, and empower young people to become leaders in their communities.
